How to take your Full Body Measurements

Taking accurate body measurements is an important step in ensuring that your clothes fit properly and look their best. While it's always best to have someone else help you with this task, it's also possible to take your own body measurements with a little care and attention to detail. Here's how to do it:

  1. Before you begin, make sure you're wearing form-fitting clothing (like a leotard or a tight-fitting t-shirt) and that you're standing in a well-lit area with a full-length mirror.

  2. To measure your bust, wrap a tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, making sure it's level with the ground. Record this measurement in inches.

  3. To measure your waist, wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your torso, again making sure it's level with the ground. Record this measurement in inches.

  4. To measure your hips, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks, making sure the tape measure is level with the ground. Record this measurement in inches.

  5. To measure your inseam (the length of your inner leg), stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and measure from the highest point of your inner thigh to the bottom of your ankle. Record this measurement in inches.

  6. To measure your arm length, extend your arm straight out to the side and measure from the tip of your shoulder to the bottom of your wrist. Record this measurement in inches.

  7. To measure your neck, wrap the tape measure around the base of your neck and record this measurement in inches.

  8. Once you've taken all of your body measurements, it's a good idea to record them in a notebook or on a piece of paper so you can refer to them in the future.

Taking your body measurements may seem like a daunting task, but with a little patience and attention to detail, you can get accurate measurements that will help you choose clothes that fit and flatter your body.
